All Good Funk Alliance "Duke"

Back in 2002 we put this out:

"Back catalog business from Bear Funk. All Good Funk Alliance dropped this sweet trio of disco cuts back in 2002 and they still hold up after almost a decade. "Mr. Parker" features chilled out disco breaks, "Spinner" gets down on the moody tip, and "Duke" keeps it cool with jazzy keys leading the way." TTLAB

We been at this for a minute, don't ever doubt that we got the funk.

RIP Gil Scott Heron

Gil Scott Heron was an amazing artist with such a deep catalog of great tunes, well he recently passed this mortal coil. R.I.P. Gil, you will be missed.

In Honor of his passing please check out this nice little remix Rory did and posted for download on his soundcloud.

Also be on the look out for Rory's Funk Weapons release coming this summer.

J-Pod "Yet Again" Free DL

yet again by JPOD the beat chef

We played with FK5 recently, and Raskin dropped this ill remix of Aloe Blacc's "I need a Dollar" which had the whole place rocking. I hollared at J-Pod and dude was like hey brother, it's a free download off my site. I suggest checking out all his releases on his website, he does some really killer glitch hop ghetto funk style songs that just have that right amount of bounce.

Dj Day Remix Free DL

Shifting Gears (DJ Day alt mix) by DJDay

Day does a smooth mix of the Johnny Hammond classic and gives us a free download, just leave hommie a like or message. Also had a chance to check dude dj Delay's wedding this weekend, all I have to say is dude is on point. It was baby Haven's first time hearing a dj, and I am proud to say he heard Day laying down some killer Motown and funk cuts. Day is a really good dj, if you can get a chance to check him out, do it.
